Milltimber to Murrayfield
On Friday 22nd February 2013, a band of 8 merry men will set off on
their bikes from Aberdeen, destined for the bright lights of
Edinburgh. They will be raising as much money as possible in memory
of Michael Arnott, who sadly lost his battle with Motor Neurone
Disease, aged just 46, on February 13th 2012. The trip was planned
to coincide with the anniversary of Mike's funeral, and the Ireland
vs Scotland rugby international at Murrayfield, but neglected to
take into account what the weather may have in store in the north
of Scotland at that time of year! Nevertheless, our intrepid heroes
have been out training through the winter months, in an effort to
achieve some semblance of fitness, for what promises to be a
gruelling 2 days of cycling.
